Hmm, stumbled across another photo.  Looks maybe like a movie shot, not certain, but it was attributed to Disney/LFL when I found it.  Not great resolution or anything, but whatever.

Looks to me like the stage version. Fairly smooth body ball, head resting directly on the body.
