Found the test footage.
Cool, love it!  Why sensors there instead of in skirt?  I wonder if the sensors could be concealed in greebles or something.  What are you using for the sensor?  I know, lots of questions, just curious about the decisions, I'm not about to do self-guided stuff, but maybe I'll be inspired.

Found the test footage.
The sensors where placed higher mainly due to many limitations of furniture.
Also the sonic sensors had to be a certain space apart so they didn't end up bouncing off their own frequency.
The sensors are old ultrasonic type, from an old magazine build "Cybot"

I suspect a pair could be mounted into the greebles and a pair in the lip of the two shells on a 1:1 scale MSE.
Ok, this is mixed up, but I since the thread's about Alan's droid, I went ahead and moved it to the Build Logs folder. It can be a log for his droid even though I started it Smile
