Lots of our electrical stuff is reusable for many different droids. For example, if you want your droid to make noise, you're going to need a speaker and amplifier circuit. Many have microcontrollers &/or are R/C controlled. There will still be some variation; big droids will have more room for bigger speakers than little droids, but I think there's lots of stuff in common about the various droids.
