Greetings from new Zealand - Blaxmyth - 12-27-2019 Hi, Phil here from Whanganui, New Zealand. I've just stepped back from trooping, finding the heat a bit much in my sandtrooper rig now that I'm in my 60's. Pepekura has been my main hobby for some years, but I've changed direction somewhat and want to build a pit droid. Not sure why, but they're just so appealing. My shed is pretty well equipped, and my aim is to build the body and limbs from wood, with a fibreglass dome. I thought about making one which will fold up, but it doesn't seem physically possible. I purchased an excellent obj file, which I'll use for dimensioning. Not expecting a quick finish, but for me the building is the most fun. Cheers! RE: Greetings from new Zealand - savagecreature - 12-28-2019 Welcome to the group Phil!! I've been working on a Pit Droid just short of forever, so I understand the appeal. I look forward to seeing what you build. |
