Fusion Generator:Kresty Style Build

From Rebeldroids Wiki

Back to Fusion Generator Main Entry

This page is intended as a guide to building a Fusion Generator in the style of Kresty's Build.

If you build one, please share, we'd love to see pictures!

Overview

Make sure to check out the main Fusion Generator page and information. There is more general information there and pointers to build logs.

This build is divided into a few stages, the main components are:

  • 3D Printed Top and Greebles.
  • Styrene Flat Pack, Laser, CnC or hand cut. (these instructions lean toward the Laser cut version)
  • Upper and Lower Hoses on base
  • Coils on the top
  • Optional lighting system
  • Optional fake charging cable
  • Optional charging system

You can also check out Kresty's Original Build Log.

Before You Start

Familiarize yourself with the build plans and components. It turns out to be a bit annoying to discover you've missed cutting or printing one of the parts, or that your assembly is 22 degrees off ;)

If you intend to modify the parts, particularly for a charger, power cord or even the fake charging cable, make sure you've figured out where any of those bits go before gluing everything together. (I tried to drill a hole right through the length of the support, which was more than a little annoying.)

Sections to This Guide

It's worth checking the various sections before starting. For example, the 1/4" jack doesn't have much room to fit, or maybe painting some of the bits before gluing.

This guide is merely how Kresty built one with his variation of the plans. Feel free to build it any way you want. The main fusion generator wiki page has links to the plans in the files section.

If you build one, please share on Rebeldroids.net! Feel free to link to the wiki or other rebeldroids pages if you want to share the plans.
